24th WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME - SATURDAY

O
n this day of the Season of Creation, Jesus speaks of seeds and soils. Pope Leo XIV reminds us that “the Lord, who knows the soil of our hearts better than we, never ceases to believe in us… in who we are and in who we can become.” Let us entrust ourselves to Him in faith.

Response: LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER.
Alternative: LORD, MAKE US FRUITFUL.
  1. That Church leaders, following the generosity of the Sower, may continue planting seeds of faith, justice, and care for creation even where hope seems small. Let us pray to the Lord.
  2. That government leaders may look beyond short-term gains and pursue policies that patiently protect people, ecosystems, and future generations. Let us pray to the Lord.
  3. That the thorns of consumerism, anxiety, and excessive desire may not choke our efforts to live simply and care for creation. Let us pray to the Lord.
  4. That farmers who cultivate the soil may receive just livelihoods, secure access to land, and support for sustainable farming. Let us pray to the Lord.
  5. That the dead may rejoice in the harvest of goodness whose seeds they planted in this life. Let us pray to the Lord.
God of every good seed, deepen our roots and make our lives fruitful in love and care. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
